Timken - MEIP Internship Description

Timken Drives is a leading manufacturer of power transmission roller chain, specialty attachment conveyor chain, engineered class steel conveyor and drag chain, and auger assemblies for the off-highway agricultural and industrial marketplace. Acquired in 2011, the Drives business added significant engineering expertise in precision engineered chain products and enhanced the Timken Company’s overall product portfolio for the industrial process and mobile markets. Customers include original equipment manufacturers John Deere, CNH, Agco, Kinze Mfg., Highway Equipment and Charles Machinery. End users including Nucor, PepsiCo and Campbell Soup Company are served by distribution partners Motion Industries, Kaman, Applied Industrial Technologies, IBT and BDI.

A Multicraft Intern working at Timken Drives would be assigned to the Maintenance department to provide support in a variety of ways. Tasks could include equipment repair, preventative maintenance, welding, PLC Programming, fabricating, Refurbishment of machines, Hydraulic component repair/rebuild, HVAC, plumbing, press maintenance, Heat Treat and Finishing room maintenance and troubleshooting - to name a few. Our maintenance technicians are true Multi-Craftsman with years of experience in many disciplines that will give an eager intern a wealth of knowledge to help him/her grow.
