The SVIC has several key Functions: The SVIC conducts local needs assessments, identifies service gaps, and identifies local resources to fill those gaps, The SVIC works with local service providers to develop collaborative agreements with local school districts to conduct Child Find activities and facilitate transitions from the Part C EI System to the community and/or the public school system, The SVIC develops and implements strategies for Public Awareness and Child Find.
