2023-2024 Skyhawks Men’s Basketball

This season looks forward to being a good one as the Skyhawks look to make a run at a Regional Championship. The Skyhawks are returning 3 guys from last season’s 19-13 team. LA Fayne from Cleveland, Ohio is set to have a big year as a returner. His ability to space the floor and score at a high rate makes him a great combination with Sean Burress. Jake Gaither from Dixon who started most of the season last year looks to start things right where they left off last season. His ability to score late in games, defend at a high level, and unselfishness on offense, are a few of the ways he will leave his mark on this team. Petia Dogale is the final returner for the Skyhawks although did not play much last season, is set to step up and take on a big role this year. His ability to defend and board will give him the opportunity to impact the game every night.

With only 3 returning this year. Key contributions and big roles will be filled by transferring newcomers on this year’s team. Sean Burress a transfer from Southwestern Michigan Juco, is coming in to fill out that starting PG role for the Skyhawks. His ability to pass and control the game should give others an opportunity to shine. Kabine Kaba is a transfer from NDSCS having redshirted as a freshman, Kabine comes in as a third-year sophomore. His maturity and experience should be a huge asset to the team. Jaden Clarke is a transfer from Clinton College (NCCAA D2). His natural ability to score will always give the Skyhawks another threat on the floor. RaSean McMiller is a transfer from Highland Community College. RaSean has a great feel for the game and the ability to play tough defense and score when needed. He should have a great sophomore year as a Skyhawk.

Other Key Roles this Season will be from the talented Freshman Class that has come in this year. Zayin Humber and Jordan Brown join us this season as two very talented freshman from Palm Beach Florida. Zayin has a natural feel for the game and is very versatile, allowing him to fill any role needed on the team. Jordan is an extremely athletic guard with a natural scoring ability. They both will find themselves playing a key role on this year’s team. Periyon Mayes and Habib Alidu-Ball are both from Madison, Wisconsin. These two join us with huge upside. Periyon is a tremendous shooter and strong rebounder, as he continues to improve his ball handling, he will become a big-time player. Habib is a strong, athletic big man. As he grows into this level of college hoops, he will be ready to make his mark on the Juco level. Salot Young joins us from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a extremely athletic and physical big man. He runs the floor extremely well and is very coachable. As he improves, he will be a big contributor to the success of this team. Payton Lambrecht joined the team a little late into the semester but has no doubt already contributed to the team. His work ethic and shooting ability will allow him to compete and play at this level. As he continues to build strength, he will become a great basketball player for the Skyhawks.
