Forensic Frenzy: Youth CSI Camp

Have you been interested in the process of fingerprinting, hidden messages, and DNA? Are you curious how the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations operate? Get Up and Dance !

CRN: 80029 | 4 sessions, M-TH (July 15-18), 1 - 3 pm

Looking for a fun, approachable way to incorporate movement into daily life? Get Up and Dance! Learn basic dance skills through games and activities that will help increase physical activity, promote a healthy lifestyle, and decrease potential injury. We’ll get warmed up with activities in balance, endurance, rhythm, stretching, and more before diving into several dance styles including ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and kick, all in an inviting environment. DIY Bottle Terrariums

Explore the enclosed world of bottle terrariums, self-contained plan environments with glass. Join Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator, Bruce Black to explore terrariums, their needs, and how to create a bottle version of a terrarium to take home. Ages: 10-14. You're A Poet!

CRN: 80031 | 4 sessions, M-TH (July 22-25), 9 - 10:30 am

Students will look at four different forms of poetry, including acrostic, free verse, ekphrastic, and haibun, and then they will have the opportunity to write a poem of each type of their own. Youth Safety and Health

CRN: 80032 | 4 sessions, M-TH (July 22-25), 9 - 11 am

Train to be better prepared to act and save a life in an emergency. Students will have the opportunity to become CPR-trained and receive a training certificate from Stop the Bleed. We'll use scenarios and hands-on skills training to be better prepared to handle many of the common medical emergencies, students may experience or be witness to. Ages: 9-14. Art of Science

Fun With Science!

Growing in the Greenhouse

CRN: 80044 | 4 sessions, M-TH (Aug 5-8), 9:30 - 11 am

Join us for fun growing plants and learning in the Sauk Greenhouse Learning Lab. We will explore the world of plants and how they grow in containers and in hydroponics.
