Purpose:

Rock Falls Civic Fund is a quality of life organization. RFCF is designed to improve our community by raising individual self-esteem and provides a variety of activities for the residents of the area. RFCF runs the Youth Center, Youth Council, and the Summer Youth Program.

Remarks:

The RFCF serves the Coloma Township Park District. Office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday through Friday. The Rock Falls Youth Center is held each Monday Night during the school year for kids in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The Youth Center provides a safe and fun atmosphere for young teenagers to dance, listen to music, and socialize among their peers, while being supervised by adults at all times. The Rock Falls Youth Council oversees the budget and operations of the Youth Center. The Youth Council also cosponsors events like the Annual Halloween Costume Contest, the Rock Falls Easter Egg Hunt, and also provides financial support to both boys and girls in the Rock Falls Little League Program. In addition, the Youth Council sends one boy and girl from Rock Falls High School to Boys and Girls State at EIU in June. Boys and Girls State provides them with a hands on experience to high school students on how our state government functions. The Rock Falls Summer Youth Council provides a variety of educational and recreational programs through the summer to disadvantaged youngsters from ages 3 through 13 years. Activities include field trips, tennis lessons, Tot Time, cheerleading and gymnastics, Pom Poms, dance programs, and special event programs. Funds are granted on a case by case basis for those with low income.
