Purpose:

Public Defender Robert J. Thompson has been licensed to practice law in Illinois for over 17 years. He has served the public defender’s office since 1996 and became head of the department in 2004. Assistant Public Defender Doug Lathe has been licensed to practice law over 20 years. He has served the public defender’s office since 2005. Administrative Assistants Nikki Perez and Mary Wohrley also work out of the Public Defenders Office.
