- Purpose:
- The Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is an entitlement program that provides monthly benefits to assist low-income households in purchasing the food they need to maintain adequate nutritional levels. Benefits are provided on the Illinois Link Card, which essentially serves as a debit card exclusively for food benefits.
