Purpose:

To provide funding for access to health services for the under-served including: vision, dental care, mammograms, medications and transportation. Also sponsors healthcare/nursing scholarships and educational programming on heart disease, cancer, obesity, nutrition and diabetes.

Remarks:

Nearly 500,000 adults and children have been educated or provided health services since 1987 and $5 million has been re-invested in area communities. These efforts are supported through an annual fundraising campaign. All donated dollars stay local. Other services include cholesterol, blood pressure, and glucose screenings. Hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
