Learning Commons Tutoring serves students at Sauk Valley Community College by providing tutoring and academic tools. We foster academic success by collaborating with faculty, staff, and administration, providing multidisciplinary content support, and promoting study behaviors to cultivate empowered, persistent learners in an inclusive, accessible, and learner-centered environment.

In-Person and Virtual Tutoring Available Monday through Thursday.

Friday hours are limited to Virtual Tutoring. 

Walk-ins are welcome! You may also use the Schedule Appointment button to make an appointment to meet a tutor on campus.  

Note: remote tutoring is still available during all open hours.

Online Tutoring Available (also during school cancellations)

Learning Commons Tutoring (LCT) is offering online tutoring through GoBoard and Google Meet. To access an online session, please use the Schedule Appointment button, fill out the Ask a Tutor form, or email lac@svcc.edu.

Tutoring

Tutoring is regularly available in the following academic areas: mathematics, accounting, biology, chemistry, CIS, statistics, physics, psychology, and economics. One-on-one assistance in study skills is also available.  The tutoring service is free; please contact us to set up a session.
