Prairie State

Game 1: 

Alec Akerman opened the scoring up in the top of the first inning getting a 2 rbi single.  Alec finished the game going 2-4 with 3 rbis.  He and Austin Miller (2-4 4 rbis) paced the offense during this win.  Daniel Seibert collected the win on the mound for the Skyhawks moving him to 1-0 on the season.  Justin Major stole 4 bases in this game and was a menace on the base paths for the Skyhawks.  This was also head coach, Eann Cox's first collegiate win.  

Game 2: 

The Skyhawks again opened up the scoring in the first inning.  Justin Major walked and stole 2nd base and 3rd base.  On his stolen base to 3rd the ball was thrown away and he scored on the play.  Austin Miller followed this up with a single.  Luke Olson and Alec Akerman used some team baseball and drove Miller in.  The Skyhawks ended the top half of the first up 2-0.  Heading into the bottom of the 2nd inning, Prairie State struck for 3 runs taking a 3-2 lead on the Skyhawks.  PSC ended up tacking on 2 more and taking a 5-2 lead into the 5th inning.  The Skyhawks struck back for 2 runs in the top of 5th to make it 5-4. In the top of the 6th, the Skyhawks were sparked by an Austin Sandrock double that opened up a massive 5 run inning for the Skyhawks.  Alex Escalante out of relief allowed 0 hits 2 ks and earned the win.  Alex is now 1-0 on the mound.  The Skyhawks  were paced offensively by Major (2-3 3 runs scored) Miller (3-3 3 rbis) Olson(2-4 1 rbi) and Noah Schueler (2-4 3 rbis).
